2024 CAMPAIGN ENDS AS VARSITY FALLS TO LIBERTYVILLE IN IHSA REGIONAL SEMIFINAL
Our Varsity team fought hard in the opening round of the IHSA Regional, falling behind 1-0 at the midpoint of the second half, when Libertyville scored directly off of a well delivered corner kick. The Wildcats added a second goal in the games final minute, as our Broncos were sending just about everyone forward with hopes of finding a late equalizer. Coach Steib was pleased with many aspects of the team’s effort in the match, but as has been the case this season we just couldn’t find the back of the net. The varsity team ends their season with a record of 6 wins, 8 losses and 6 ties. In 20 matches, we scored 13 goals while conceding just 21 against.
As we say goodbye to this years class of seniors, we thank each of them for all of the time, energy and effort that has been given in the pursuit of their development and growth. We hope each one of them will continue to chase the game whether that’s in college, men’s leagues, pickup games or anywhere!
BRONCOS JV TEAMS BOTH SWEEP MSL TOURNAMENT TITLES!!!
What a great week it was for BOTH of our JV teams! Each team won three games this week, including championship matches on Friday (JV1) and Saturday (JV2) against Palatine and Hersey, respectively. Congratulations to Coach Avendano and Coach Stengren, and all of the players on these two squads! GREAT JOB BRONCOS!
THAT’S A WRAP!!
Our Frosh/Soph & Freshman Red teams have both wrapped their seasons. The 2024 seasons were filled with improvement and growth. We are so glad all of these players were able to join our program this season, and we look forward to seeing where your high school careers go from here! YNWA!
